Will Casey has been a part-time faculty member of Columbia College Chicago’s Theatre Dept. since 1998. Since fall 2004 he has been the Academic Advisor for Theater majors, and he was Career Advisor from 2001 to 2004 in CCC’s Carer Center. He teaches Acting I: Basic Skills, Acting I: Scene Study and Acting II: Character and Ensemble. Will is a professional actor and has performed locally with Famous Door (where he was an ensemble member), The Apple Tree Theatre, Raven Theatre, Citadel Theatre, Next Theatre, Light Opera Works, and Commons Theatre, among others.
Will has been teaching theatre since 1981 to students of all ages: 32nd st. Magnet School and Foshay Junior High School (both in Los Angeles); Fort Lewis College (Durango, Colorado); Virginia Shakespeare Festival, Montclair State University (New Jersey), Hibbard Elementary, the National High School Institute at Northwestern University and the Eileen Boevers Performing Arts Workshop (Chicago area).
Will holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from St. Edward’s University, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California, where he was the recipient of the Jack Nicholson scholarship.
