Another man has found a more practical reason to use social media. Andrew Jarvis is an architect who lives in Philadelphia, but works in New York. He rents an apartment in New York for times when he wants to stay overnight. To prove to the IRS that he spends most of his time in Philadelphia, he takes a photo and posts it to Instagram holding a piece of evidence.
Instagram is a social site that allows users to post photos and apply filters giving it a more artistic look. Friends can favorite your photo and comment on it. It's great for people who mostly take photos as opposed to sharing status updates or links to other websites. Mr. Jarvis has turned it into evidence in case of an audit. His page, username @InternalRevenueSelfie has gained many followers who enjoyed seeing his update. It has since gone viral and now people are following because they find it funny.
I wonder when he'll post a more fun photo or one of his meals?
